A missed notification can mean a missed pickup. Maybe your phone was on Sleep Focus, or you silenced it during another ride. With this update, the alerts that matter for your trips reach you, and everything else stays quiet.
Alerts that get through Focus on iPhone
The most important trip alerts are now Time Sensitive. They show up even when Focus or Do Not Disturb is on:
- Someone assigned you a new job.
- You got the job.
- A job was cancelled.
- Your pickup is coming up and you're still offline.
- Your pickup is coming up and you haven't marked On the Way yet.
- The driver on your job is still offline, or hasn't headed out yet.
Everything else, like New offer available, follows your Focus settings as before. So a busy day of new offers won't wake you up, but a job that's assigned to you will.
Job Alerts on Android
On Android, these alerts now come through their own Job Alerts channel, with sound and a pop-up banner. You can also let them through Do Not Disturb:
- Open Settings and tap Apps.
- Find Uways and tap Notifications.
- Tap Job Alerts and turn on Override Do Not Disturb.
The exact names can differ a little between phone brands.
Set an alarm for your trip
On iPhone with iOS 26 or later, you can set a real alarm for a trip. It rings 30 minutes before pickup, even when your phone is on silent.
- Add a job to My Trips.
- Under Reminders, tap Set alarm next to Alarm.
The first time, iOS asks for permission to set alarms. You can also add the trip to your calendar from the same screen.
Good to know
- Time Sensitive alerts need to be on: Settings > Notifications > Uways > Time Sensitive Notifications. They're on by default.
- On Android, the Job Alerts channel shows up in your settings after your first job alert arrives.
- Update Uways from the App Store or Google Play to get all of this.
