When you're driving, your hands belong on the wheel. Picking up your phone to tap On Location or look up a pickup address takes your eyes off the road, and in many states holding your phone while driving is against the law. So we made the most common trip actions work with your voice.
Move your trip to the next step
Say "Hey Siri, Uways next step."
Siri shows your trip with the pickup, drop-off and the step you're moving to, then asks to confirm, for example "Move to On Location for JFK Terminal 4?" Say yes and the trip is updated. Uways doesn't open and you never touch the screen.
Siri always asks first, so a trip never moves forward by accident.
Get directions to the pickup
Say "Hey Siri, Uways navigate to pickup."
Apple Maps opens with directions to your trip's pickup address. No copying, no typing.
Set up the Action Button
On iPhone 15 Pro and later, you can put Next Step on the Action Button and update your trip with a single press.
- Open Settings and tap Action Button.
- Swipe to Shortcut and tap Choose a Shortcut.
- Find Uways and pick Next Step.
Find everything in Spotlight
Swipe down on your Home Screen and type Uways. Your shortcuts show up right under the app:
- Find Driver: post a job to drivers on the network.
- My Jobs: jump to your jobs.
- My Offers: jump to the offers you've posted.
- Next Step: move your current trip forward.
- Navigate to Pickup: open directions to the pickup.
The same shortcuts are in the Shortcuts app too, ready to use in your own automations.
Good to know
- Next Step and Navigate to Pickup work on the trip shown on your Lock Screen, which starts once you're on the way. See Update your trip right from the Lock Screen.
- Voice commands work when Siri's language is set to English. Spotlight and the Action Button work in any language.
- Shortcuts need iOS 16 or later.
As always, only update a trip when it's safe to do so.
